Whereas the previous lesson was about how to create better connection in your technique for max results with minimum effort, today we reverse-engineer that from the defensive side….

Specifically, in the video below we’ll look at how to “break the chain” – in this case, the kinetic chain of your opponent’s posture, and with it, his connection – in order to counter some of the strongest control positions:

In this video, you’ll see some of the counter options I show for two variations of high double underhooks (which are common in wrestling, especially Greco-Roman) and the traditional body lock. Just when your opponents think they have you dead to rights, you’ll be able to shut down their offense and regain superior position.
